Bereans
Regina has been a member of Friendly Chapel since she was seven years old, when she was saved and baptized.
She retired after teaching for 30 years in Lincoln County Schools. Regina enjoys teaching Sunday school and learning alongside fellow members.
We invite anyone interested in growing in God’s Word to join us.
Like the Bereans in the New Testament, we receive God’s Word with eagerness and examine the Scriptures carefully.

Franklin Swearngan

Franklin is happily retired from both the Bell Telephone Company and the U.S. Air Force. In both of those careers, he found his passion in becoming an instructor, which offers a unique twist compared to being a regular teacher. About ten years ago, after moving to the area, he discovered Friendly Chapel Baptist Church and quickly began visiting, meeting wonderful people, and making great friends.
Franklin loves diving into research and bringing fresh insights to his lessons using various Bible books. He believes that adding a bit of historical context makes the lessons much more engaging and easier to understand.
He also enjoys exploring the rich history of the people in the Bible and their challenges, which adds depth to his teaching.
